On the 25th of November, the matches of the 4th round of the Group Stage of the European League EHF took place. In action for their respective clubs, there were several Portuguese players as well as the Sporting CP team that faced IKF Krisitianstad in Sweden and won 27-32 with an excellent performance.

In what was yesterday’s only game in Group A, Fenix ​​Toulouse Handball from centre back/left-back Gonçalo Vieira hosted the Spanish team from Abanca Ademar Leon in a game that ended in a draw at 28 goals. TATRAN Presov, from Right-Wing Nuno Santos, traveled to Germany to face Füchse Berlin. The German team, one of the favorites for the final victory in the competition, did not give Presov any chances, having controlled the entire match. At half-time Presov already lost by 5 goals (18-13) and in the 2nd half that advantage increased even more, with the final result of 35-27. However, the great individual highlight of the night goes to the left-back of Nuno Santos’ team, Oliver Rabek, who scored 10 goals in 14 shots. The Portuguese right wing managed to score three times in four shots. As for the group’s classification, Füchse Berlin and Sporting CP lead with 4 points in 2 games, with Krisitianstad having the same points, but with 4 games played. Nimes and Dinamo Bucaresti are in 4th and 5th place, respectively, with 2 points from 3 games. Presov de Nuno Santos has 0 points in 2 games and is thus in 6th and last place in the group.

In group C, in addition to Alingsas HK 30-29 SC Magdeburg and HC CSKA 29-18 RK Nexe, there was a Portuguese duel at Montpellier HB vs Besiktas Aygaz. Gilberto Duarte, Montpellier’s left-back, and Hugo Lima, Besiktas center, faced each other in a game that didn’t have much history. From group D there was only one game. Rhein-Neckar Lowen confirmed their favoritism by hosting and winning against HC Eurofarm Pellister by 28-20, and now leads group D with 4 points from 2 games. Kadetten Schaffhausen is close behind with 3 points in 2 games, while RK Trimo Trebnje and GOG are in 3rd and 4th place with 2 points, but only 1 and 3 games played respectively. Eurofarm has 1 point in 3 games and Grundfos Tatabanya KC is in last place with 0 points in just 1 game played.
