Morocco-Portugal preview

After a win in the opening game of the World Championship against Iceland, Portugal returns to the court, this time against Morocco.
Coming from a moralizing triumph against the Icelandic team, the “Heroes of the Sea” are currently the big favourites to pass first in the group. However, to achieve this they will have to beat this tough opponent on the African continent.
The Moroccan national team began its journey in competition with an inappropriate match for the cardiac against Algeria. After taking advantage of eleven goals and dominating since the opening whistle, Noureddine Bouhadioui’s men allowed the Algerians to recover and ended up losing, 24-23.

Portugal will face a selection of wounded pride, and to erase the image that remained – two factors that will require increased attention and maximum concentration on the part of Portuguese players.
In the preview of this meeting, Alfredo Quintana said that they were happy with the performance made against a strong opponent like Iceland, but that it was necessary to focus on the next opponent: “We have to face with the same humility as if it were against Sweden or France ”.
Miguel Martins was elected the MVP of the game against Iceland. The Futebol Clube do Porto central gave the prize to teamwork and is confident for this second round:
“The main characteristic that defines these teams is their ability to deliver, who leave everything on the field and know how to play handball, but if we do what we know how to do, I think we will win.”
