2021 Women’s World Cup qualification has been postponed

World Women’s Handball Championship 2021 qualification postponed

Last Friday, November 13th, the EHF (European Handball Federation) announced the postponement of the qualifying matches for the 2021 Women’s World Cup.

Those same games, from the five qualification groups, were planned to be played on the weekend of December 4th to December 6th.

This decision, by the EHF, was made due to the difficulties that have been felt regarding the organization of the qualifying matches, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Portuguese National Team, inserted in a group with the Turkey and Finland national teams, will now play those games World Cup qualifying games on the new dates of 19th to 21st of March.

The EHF has already postponed several female youth competitions set for 2021.
